Concerts with a Halloween theme, this interactive concert is all about
the movies! Listen to the music that filled classic "creature feature"
movie audiences with dread... Photoplay silent-film scores from the
studio vaults! Younger audience members will recognize more current
movie music from the scarier moments of "The Lion, The Witch and the
Wardrobe" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Surprises are in store!
Pre-concert activities for kids in the lobby starting at 1:00. Wear your

“Bad Boy Beethoven” will be a fun interactive concert about the life
and times of Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the world’s greatest composers
and musicians. We will be exposed to the music of Beethoven and his
teacher, Haydn and learn how Beethoven’s music progressed and changed
throughout his entire lifetime. In addition, we will have dialogue from
the stage between our Music Directorand
__, acting as Beethoven, presenting us with the
image of Beethoven in person as he reflects on his life and the nine
symphonies that he wrote. The concert lasts about an hour without
intermission.

Classic Series
This Series holds many possibilities for concert-goers
who prefer evening concerts. These usually run for two hours including
an intermission. Prior to these concerts, we have a “Preconcert Chat”
for 30 minutes explaining some of the inner details of the music and
composers’ background. Classic concert repertoire comes from a
collection of the finest music written for full symphony orchestra.
There are some concerts with full symphony and chorale as well. [CONCERTS]

Chorale Series This Series includes selections from the
combined orchestra/chorale repertoire and a chorale-only stand-alone
concert at Sylvan Way Baptist Church. The Chorale is directed by __. These concerts last about an hour and a half including
intermission and are designed to bring the world of vocal repertoire for
choir to our audience. [CONCERTS]
[F] Family Series ...is designed
for younger folks and their relatives to enjoy a matinee concert
commencing at 2:00 pm on weekend afternoons. The preconcert activities
in the lobby are meant to inspire little hands to touch, tryout and get
into the theme that will be presented on stage. These concerts last
about 50 minutes with lively dialogue between selections meant to engage
the audience. [CONCERTS]

Conductor's Choice This concert is an extension of our Family
Series; it will be held in the evening, but have an extra
entertainment/educational flair! [CONCERT]
Youth Concerts These concerts
are designed for Kitsap Peninsula school children 3rd through 8th grade
and instrumental students. Children will be invited on February 6, 2007
to take a field trip to ___
and listen to the Symphony Orchestra. Free concert material will be sent
to the participating classrooms. For more information about youth
